Aisha Hinds is an American actress best recognized for her roles on the television series The Shield and True Blood. Ever since her debut in 2003, she has proven her ability as an actress, delivering amazing performances on TV shows such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1-8-7, and Under the Dome. She was first noticed for her role as Anna in the 2005 movie Assault on Precinct 13. But it was her role as women's rights activists Fannie Lou Hamer from the documentary film All the Way that finally earned her acclaim as an actor. Hind was also praised for her role as Harriet Tubman on WGN America's dramatic period drama series Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 9-1-1 was renewed for the third installment with 20th Century Fox Television. Hind completed filming recently for the Hollywood flick Godzilla: King of the Monsters. It is due to release in the middle of 2019.
